It Is Right In Front Of You

It Is Right In Front Of You!

In Luke chapter 8 of the Christian Bible, a lady with ten silver coins loses one. She lights a lamp, sweeps the floor and searches carefully until she finds it. She then calls her friends and neighbors together and says “Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin”. The whole time it was right in front of her but she had to take action and do her part to find it. So many of us fail to see that success is right in front of us. We are prone to be like the great warrior, Naaman in IIĀ  Kings Chapter 5. He had made a long journey to Israel to see the prophet Elisha in search for healing from leprosy. Elisha sent a messenger to Naaman declaring that he go down to the Jordan River and wash himself seven times and he would be healed and his flesh restored. This man of great pomp and circumstance was outraged. He had traveled a great distance looking for the man of faith to perform a great healing service for which he would pay him him a great sum of money. Elisha did not even have the courtesy to meet him personally. In Nathan’s mind, Elisha gave him a very menial task, not worthy of a man of his stature. However, Naaman had a wise servant who recognized that Elisha was a man of great spiritual authority who had a real formula for his healing. Naaman submitted to Elisha’s request and was completely healed. What a celebration must have occurred. Naaman’s miracle was right before him but he almost walked away from it. What we really want and search everywhere for, is sometimes right in front of us. Be careful not to walk away from a miracle.
