Hi,

It is not necessary to start from scratch when you want to write an article. Sometimes you have previously written pieces of content for your blog or even content on your traditional website that you can re-write and submit as an article.

That saves a lot of time as your previous piece of content serves as an outline and source of research for your article. As a result you don’t have to spend time thinking up a new topic and points to cover.

But how do you re-work a blog post or some other piece of content you have to create a unique article? I bounce my articles off of my blog posts every month.

Here is a model I picked up from a British firm that I use when focusing on specific keywords:

1) Do your keyword research before you start writing articles.

2) Then just cycle through your keyword list, focusing an article on one keyword phrase at a time until you go through your list.

3) Then start again at the beginning, and go through the list again (and again, and again…)

4) Be sure to update your keyword list every so often, because that information changes.

This approach is a good way to dominate your niche on the search engines, and ultimately, the more content you have out there for specific keywords, the more likely it is that at least one of your content pieces are going to show up for those searches.

This has helped me very much.

Blog Commenting

Hello Max Pro Community,

Today we’re going to talk about blog posting. We’ve talked before about how Max Pro co-creator Mike Antoni is a huge believer in blogging. We have a great blogging package that we sell by the way if you’re interested. But anyways, Mike believes that blogging is necessary for the success of your online business. He says it as a great way to build a loyal customer base and to drive traffic to your site.

But what we haven’t talked about before is the necessity of blog commenting. Commenting on other people’s blogs can be a great way to advertise your business opportunity and generate traffic for your site.

Here are some basic steps that you can follow to get you started:

1.) Establish a list of keywords to work from.
- You’re going to want to choose keywords that are home business oriented. Like work from home, build your own online business, etc…

2.) Plug your keywords into Google to generate a list of blogs for you to visit.

3.) Set a goal to visit at least 5 blogs a day

4.) Once at the blog read the posts and get a general feel for the blog. Make sure your biz opp would be welcome there.

5.) Create a signature that includes your website link in it and a brief blurb about your opportunity

6.) Thoughtfully respond to a blog post with an insightful comment. Don’t hard sell. Let your blog signature do the selling for you.

Keep at it and in no time you’ll have a variety of back links established that will generate traffic for you and your website!

Sincerely,
Megan Madison, MaxPro Marketing

Hello,

Here are some Tips For Article Writing.

1. Pick your day(s) to write.

I write about four articles a week for my business ventures and one a week for my hobby blog. If you were writing anywhere from 8-25 articles per month, how would it feel if you got your writing done in a couple of days. Pick days when you can write uninterrupted for 4-5 hours.
2. Write offline–the idea is to give your full concentration to your writing. Writing offline will keep you away from email, Twitter, IMs and the like.

3. Pre-determine your article topics.

Just sit down before your writing session (or at the beginning of the month, or whenever), and start brainstorming article topics. Choose topics from that list for your articles. This saves bunches of time, since one of the hardest things is coming up with ideas of what to write about. Google researching topics,  helps me a lot.

4. Come up with an informal outline before you really start writing–this makes things progress faster.

5. Keep snacks handy.

We are all capable of sitting for 4-5 hours and working on a project, but I know that if we start to get hungry, we have a need to eat. And we get up to go to the kitchen to get something to eat, then it may be a while before we get back to our desk. The solution in staying focused on the task at hand, is to keep snacks within reach–tea/coffee on the desk, pretzels, anything that we can quickly pick up and eat/drink.

6. Set word count limits/goals.

This is so important. Most article directories that are worth using, require a minimum of 250 to 450 word-count article. If you don’t have a limit on how long your article will be, you can write and write and write and take up all 5 hours just on one article! For most of us it is easy to write 300-500 word articles once we get a little practice with goal setting,

Here are some benefits of this “Batch” writing:
*Writing for an extended period of time gives you the chance to get on a roll–one article  spawn another article idea. Realize that one idea can be too big to cover in just one article and you can neatly transition into your next article continuing the thoughts of the previous one. Writing “on a roll”  this way can help give your articles a sense of cohesion–one builds on the next, rather than just being a series of one-offs.

*You will be working more efficiently if you “batch process” things.

You aren’t constantly being pulled away to do other things, so you get whatever activity you’re working on done more quickly. This batching method is really geared toward completion of tasks.

*It is just plain satisfying to crank out several articles in a day. What a feeling of accomplishment!

*You can relax more.

When you know you will be writing 4 or so articles on your designated day, it frees you to relax and complete some fun ventures with family or friends.

Hi!

Blogging should always be fun! If it becomes a tedious, tiring, boring or frustrating passtime, put it aside and evaluate what is happening. I have being hobby blogging for a little over two years and business blogging for a little more than a year.  I love the interactive process!

Making the blog interactive serves two major purposes. First, friendships are established that are meaningful and great for self-actualization. Your self-worth is enhanced as you share with a faithful audience. Second, an interactive blog is great for determining what design revisions are needed as well as what content directions you may need to pursue.

A good technique for making your blog more interactive is to share how you got started and ask your mailing list to share their story also. This is fun and many people will love telling their story.

Help Them Find You!

Hi!

I have a lot of fun building my hobby mailing list. This month marks my second year as a blogger.  In reviewing what has really made a difference for me in  making  my blog a good money maker, I came to a simple conclusion. The best way for an online business of any kind to attract new customers is to help them find you. Without ranking them here are my personal favorite ways to help others find me: article writing, SEO campaigns, track cells, conversions, PPC and ROI.

Be Connected!

Be Connected!

Do you ever feel that you have lost connection with your customer base? This sense of separation can come from ineffective communication or a result of poor listening, off-target marketing, or an issue of weak product branding. Disconnection can happen when the marketing campaign utilizes wrong strategies that stray from the interests of the targeted, niche market. How do you reconnect? It is vital to Internet marketing success that an “alive” relationship is established and maintained at all times. Never take for granted your audience! They must feel valued and made to feel important or you will lose them, both new buyers and repeat purchasers. “Show me you know me” needs to be your focus. Be Connected!
