Are You Rich?

Hi,

I read some words on a sign recently and had to go back and read them again. It is a simple statement:

“If you want to feel really rich, think about all the good things in your life that money cannot buy!”

We all get discouraged, upset and overwhelmed with ‘life’! Through the years, I try to be ready with my PERSONAL AMMUNITION of positive words, thoughts, prayers. I have also been reminded many times of how blessed I really am in spite of the difficult circumstances.

I had a really good friend for many years. She was the prettiest lady with beautiful red hair. Ellie loved to really dress up. She wasn’t one of those casual ladies like me. I don’t think I ever saw her wear a pair of jeans. Ellie cared about her family and friends and worked with the small children in our church. Those kids adored her!

One day we realized Ellie was getting sicker and sicker. Doctors were introducing new treatments to help her. I remember driving her to some of those treatments. They didn’t work very well for Ellie and left her exhausted for days. Then the doctors decided to do a big surgery. Despite their best efforts, the surgery was not successful. Ellie lived for several years after that, but she was sick and weak. Her color was bad. She often had a gray or greenish cast to her complexion. Ellie had every right to feel sorry for herself and complain!

You know what? I don’t remember ever hearing her complain!! She still wanted to get to church when she was able and work with her beloved children. When she couldn’t get out any longer, she would call to check on her friends. Often we would call her or drop by to visit her. We thought we were going to encourage her, but we usually left being the encouraged ones. She seemed to care more about us than what she was going through. She was a blessing and positive force in my life all through the years.

Now when I have a difficult day or don’t feel well, I remember Ellie. You know, no matter what you are going through, there are others around you in much worse shape. It might be a challenge sometimes, but we can all find things to be thankful for….and many of those blessings are things that money cannot buy!

Hello folks,

Ryan Travis here.

I had an idea for posts I could make every week that would share some Positive Thinking quotes.   Often in life we can get a little down and sometimes even a simple quote can inspire us to push through to the next day.  So while this might not be a life changing Blog post, it may give you a smile, or a burst of momentum on a slow day.

To success.

Quotes for the weekThink and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill: (a great book by the way, read it!)

“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed on an equal or greater benefit.” -Napoleon Hill

“Ideas are the beginning points of all fortunes.” -Napoleon Hill

“If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.” -Napoleon Hill

“Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure.” -Napoleon Hill

“All the breaks you need in life wait within your imagination. Imagination is the workshop of your mind, capable of turning mind energy into accomplishment and wealth.”  -Napoleon Hill

“Big pay and little responsibility are circumstances seldom found together.”
-Napoleon Hill

“Don’t wait. The time will never be just right”. -Napoleon Hill

“Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.” -Napoleon Hill

“Nature cannot be tricked or cheated. She will give up to you the object of your struggles only after you have paid her price.” -Napoleon Hill

Have a great weekend, and an even better week!

Greetings!!

I hope your week is the best ever and that you are continuing to focus on what you want in your lives—your goals and dreams.

Sometimes when I am told  (or read) something, I don’t really ‘get it’! Do you know what I mean? The words sound good…the concepts are sound…yet the meaning of what I am told just doesn’t sink in!! I think what I am trying to say is that the words may be exactly right, but I just don’t know how to apply them to my life or my circumstances.

It is helpful when I can get a picture in my mind. The following little story helped me and I hope it will also help you to focus on what you really want!! I would give credit to the originator of this story, but I honestly don’t know where or when it started.

I am told that when race car drivers are in training, they are given the instruction to always keep their eyes ahead…on their goal…the finish line and victory. They should never become distracted by things going on around them. If there is a crash on the right side…if they are bumped on the left side…DO NOT look in the direction of the incident. If they look towards the distraction, they will begin steering their car in that direction rather than towards the finish line.

This applies to us also. We have determined exactly what our goals are and we are doing all that we can to move in the direction of those goals. As long as everything is going smoothly, we are fine! If disruption, disappointment  or confusion comes our way…in other words, if things don’t go the way we think they should…we will often look toward these things. We will focus our thoughts and words on the things we do not want!!

We have a choice to make. Do we want to keep our focus on our goals or do we want our focus to be on these things we do not want? Do we want to move in the direction of our goals or do we want to ‘drive our car’ in the wrong direction and toward defeat?

It sounds easy , doesn’t it? It is easy until we meet with problems, but we can all keep moving toward our goals! Is it always easy? NO! Is it worth it? Yes!! Remember the race car driver! You may have problems or distractions…you may be moving too slowly…. but just keep moving ahead and you will achieve your dreams.

Let’s do it together. Let’s move in the direction of our goals, whether those are goals to build a big successful internet business, to build better relationships, to exercise more and eat less (YUCK)….! Let’s move forward and not focus on diversions! We can all achieve victory and celebrate together!!

Hi Gang,

I’d like to share a story with everyone about a woman that is very close to Mike Antoni. This story is being retold with permission of course. But for the sake of privacy we will refer to this woman as Annette.

Annette came from very humble beginnings. She comes from a lower middle class family that had to struggle and battle for every little thing they had. Her mother worked during a period of time when it wasn’t that common to find women with careers. But her family needed the dual income.

Through Annette’s early adult life she followed in the same foot steps as her parents; struggling and battling to keep a roof over her head, food on the table, and afford a decent home in a safe neighborhood.

And then one day Annette discovered internet marketing. And she found that she had a real flair for it. For the first time in her life she had real financial freedom. She was abundant. She had completely changed her life!

Annette should have been living the good life. She had finally acquired everything she had ever dreamed of having. She had pushed through the financial chains she was born into and moved on to bigger and better things.

So what was the problem?

The problem was that Annette wasn’t happy. Anybody who knew Annette could tell you that she was always under stress, short-tempered, and laboring day and night to hold her business together. It was during this period of time that Annette and Mike Antoni began working together. And Mr. Antoni couldn’t believe the stress that Annette seemed to be putting herself through.

You see it was Mr. Antoni’s opinion that Annette’s stress was entirely self-induced. That the constant laboring was not in fact a necessary part of her business process but was a dysfunction in her approach. For Mike wisely realized that growing up the way that she did Annette had equated struggle, strife and stressful labor to financial well being. Even when she was working for herself at her own business Annette subconsciously had reproduced the circumstances of her parents.

Once Mike was able to identify this trait within her Annette was able to make some real progress in her life. She was able to let go and realize that internet marketing should be fun, challenging yes, but fun and rewarding.

So my suggestion to all of you reading is to sit down and think for a few moments today about your own ‘wealth programming.’ Did you pick up bad habits from your parents? Are you carrying with you negative and stressful ideas about what it means to earn money?

If we can identify where we’re coming from it will be a whole lot easier to get where we’d like to go.
