Posts Tagged ‘Niche’

Hi,

It is not necessary to start from scratch when you want to write an article. Sometimes you have previously written pieces of content for your blog or even content on your traditional website that you can re-write and submit as an article.

That saves a lot of time as your previous piece of content serves as an outline and source of research for your article. As a result you don’t have to spend time thinking up a new topic and points to cover.

But how do you re-work a blog post or some other piece of content you have to create a unique article? I bounce my articles off of my blog posts every month.

Here is a model I picked up from a British firm that I use when focusing on specific keywords:

1) Do your keyword research before you start writing articles.

2) Then just cycle through your keyword list, focusing an article on one keyword phrase at a time until you go through your list.

3) Then start again at the beginning, and go through the list again (and again, and again…)

4) Be sure to update your keyword list every so often, because that information changes.

This approach is a good way to dominate your niche on the search engines, and ultimately, the more content you have out there for specific keywords, the more likely it is that at least one of your content pieces are going to show up for those searches.

This has helped me very much.

Keywords

Hi Guys,

Let’s talk keywords. Do you have keywords that you’re currently using to market your business and drive traffic to your page?

If not, you should.

Keywords are vital to internet marketing and all successful online ventures. So how do you get keywords? Your keywords should be unique to you. They should be tried and tested. And they should be what you believe in and are ready to put your money behind.

To establish your keywords first think of the niche that you’re in. If your an affiliate to Max Pro you are in the home business opportunity niche. So now, you need to find some related keywords.

If you’re a total newbie you probably want to head over to Google and search for their keyword tool. Once in their keyword tool place in a common keyword to our biz opp industry. You might want to try from one of the suggestions below:

- make money from home
- part time work from home
- make money online
- moms work from home

What you’ll do is plug one of these phrases into the Google keyword tool and it will give you suggestions for long-tailed keyword phrases. These suggestions will also come with a monthly search volume. First you want to pick keywords that have a local search volume of over 5,000 per month. That’s always a good place to start.

Next, you’re going to want to scope out your competition. Open up a new tab in your browser window and plug your long-tailed keyword into the google search box. In the upper right hand corner of the screen it shows you how many competing site there are.

Your goal is to find a keyword that has less then 300,000 competing sites. You’re looking for high monthly search volume coupled with low competition. This is what is referred to as a sweet spot.

You may have spend some time on this. Try to come up with at least 10 keywords for your initial campaign.

To your success,

backlinking-101

Backlinking 101

Hey,

This post is gonna be a little bit wordy, so I’ll just get right to it.

First off, Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. As far as search engines are concerned, the number of backlinks can determine the popularity or importance of any specific site or blog.

The number of backlinks pointing to your website is one of the highest determining factors in terms of where your site/blog will rank in search engines.

So here’s what you can do to get more backlinks and make your site/blog more relevant.

First determine the keywords for your site/blog. Find at least 5 great keywords that are extremely relevant to the point you’re trying to get across. If you’re niche is fishing, then use keywords like:

-Fishing tips
-Bait and tackle
-Fishing poles
-How to fish
-Rod and reel

I just thought of those off the top of my head and I barely EVER go fishing. So you can definitely think of something that goes hand in hand with your topic(s).

So if you’ve got your keywords down, it’s time to search for relevant blogs based on your keywords.
I’ve used programs like comment kahuna and comment hut and they’re good, but I like using the old fashioned approach with google’s blog search.

Save this link or just type it in, but either way it’s http://google.com/blogsearch

If that links not working, go to google.com then click on the more tab, followed by the ‘even more’ tab. You’ll then see the blog search on the very next page.

Okay, so you’re in there and you’re ready to use your keywords.

Here’s what you’re gonna do…

Take your keywords and put them in quotes in the blog search box.

Example: “fishing tips”

Doing this is going to bring up the most relevant and highest ranking blogs with the keyword fishing tips. Start going through all of these blogs.

**Important note here**

YOU NEED TO ACTUALLY READ ALL OF THESE POSTS.

Here’s why…

For one, you want to come across as intelligent and like you actually read the post.

And secondly, you’ll be placing your backlink into the comments.

So, if I were to leave a comment on a fishing tips blog, this is what I would do.

Name: Bait and tackle

Hey, that’s a great article! (type here, whatever interested you the most about the article) ect. ect. ect.

Thanks so much,

<a href=”http:// yourdomainnamehere.com”>fishing tips</a>

**Okay, back from the example.**

So you see what I did there.
Most blogs are gonna want you to place your name in there. So use one of your keywords as your name. This will increase your comments relevancy.

Next, in your actual comment, be relevant to what the writer has actually posted.

Finally, when placing your name at the bottom, do it like this:

Sincerely,

<a href=”http:// yourdomainnamehere.com”>Your Keyword Here</a>

I suggest copying that code and saving it somewhere on your machine. Just make sure when you use it for yourself, you place your actual website and keyword in the appropriate places.

Leave all of your comments with that general idea and you’re sure to increase not only your search engine ranks, but your daily traffic as well.

Alright ya’ll. I’m getting outa here! Friday’s team meeting is coming up soon, so I’ll talk with you all later!

Take care,

Mark Antoni

Hello Max Pro’ers,

We’ve been a bit Blog themed lately here at The Max Pro Blog… which makes sense, as this is a blog, but it’s also good for many other reasons.

A Blog is one of the simplest and most effective ways to catalog your business.

You can keep track of ideas, drop announcements, discuss promotional material, keep people up-to-speed on the doings of what you do, discuss: content, sales, customer service… and much more.

In our post-modern 21st century world the Blog becomes the store Greeter, the Customer Service rep and the likable Sales-person all at once.  It’s a great way to share, connect, and sell to the customer.

Blog Tips and Tricks.

- Write now.  Write often.   (As in person, you have to engage the reader/customer.)

Be professional.  Be yourself.  (We all like genuine people.)

Learn your niche.  Present your knowledge or service  that the customer learns something.

Interact.  (Dialogue on a Blog is crucial.  Else it’s just a regular website, not a Blog.)

When a Blogger, Do as the Bloggers Do.  (Visit other blogs and forums in your niche and interact!)

-   Have fun.   If you’re not having fun Blogging, likely readers/customers won’t either.

Once you have a basic understanding of what the Blogging world is like and you’re writing consistent Blog updates it will really grow on you.  Before you know it, you’ll have quite a bit of material, active commenters, and increased traffic and sales.

Whether your Blog is driving massive traffic or if it’s just a nice PR/Customer Service arm of your business, or simply a way to chit-chat with customers, it will be an important part of your business in our rapidly evolving electronic society.  Exciting huh?

We’ll be updating the Max Pro Blog more on this topic – Quick Tips and Tricks.  And look for future Blog related posts from our excellent Blog contributers.

There are three features in the blogging process that are very easy to learn and so important to efficiently and effectively operating a blog. These three items are Comments, Tagging and Categorizing.

Comments are one of the most exciting features of a blog and are very easy to understand. They are like talking to a friend. Readers can ask questions, give positive reviews, share ideas or say whatever is on their heart. Bloggers have the opportunity to visit other blogs in their niche, whether hobby or business niches, and leave positive comments or feedback with a link back to their blog and/or website. In the marketing arena this comment or feedback process falls under the category of social promotion, a free way of driving traffic to a site. To permit people to leave comments on a blog requires going to the blog admin panel and allow said action.

Tagging is a vital element of blogging that helps to keep track of blog entries and is a powerful tool in driving traffic to a site as well. Tagging simply is the use of key words or phrases in a blog entry. A coin collecting or numismatic blog entry would use terms like copper, nickel, silver, gold, platinum, circulated, uncirculated, pristine, premium, raw and certified. The more key words used the more effective the post will be in driving traffic as the blog becomes so much more accessible by the tagging process.

Categorizing is a form of tagging in the broadest sense. By the writer placing one or more categories at the beginning of a blog post, readers will know what that post is about. Using the coin collecting blog again, an article on the rare 1922 (missing D) Wheat Cent, would use one or more of these categories: Rare Coins, Rare US Coins, 20th Century Rare Coins, US Error Rarities, Wheat Cent Varieties, as well as many others. No post or article should be left with the uncategorized label and giving or placing a post with a category or creating new categories becomes second-handed after a while.
